The home

One home. One person. No facility.

Your dog stays with us, in our home in South Austin, 78745: a condo with a gated, enclosed dog run, and no resident pets, so the only dogs here are the guests.

Illustration of Gentry, your caretaker: smiling, with long curly brown hair, in a knit sweater.
An illustrated hello from Gentry

One caregiver, Gentry, home full time, with 20 years of experience with dogs and more than 100 dogs hosted. No staff, no team: one person, and that person is Gentry.

Before the first stay, we meet, with your dog, and talk through the routine: food, walks, sleep, and what helps your dog settle.

A day here

There are no add-on fees for walks or play. We plan the day around the dogs who are staying, so a first-timer gets a slower day than a regular who knows the run. You hear from us during the stay, with photos.

A small group, never a crowd: only a few guest dogs at a time, and we talk about fit before any stay.

Is this the right fit?

Small and medium dogs, and a small compatible group. If something comes up during a stay, we call you first, then act on the plan we agreed at drop-off.

  1. Book on Rover, or text or call first with any question.
  2. We meet, with your dog, before the first stay.
  3. At drop-off we agree the plan for the stay.
  4. Photos while you are away, and your dog back at pickup.

Questions

Questions people ask

Will my dog be with other dogs?

A few, never a crowd. We talk about fit first and plan the group around who is staying.

Is my dog ever alone?

Gentry is home full time. Whether your dog is ever alone, and for how long, is something we settle together at the meet-and-greet, before any stay.

What if something goes wrong?

We call you first, then act on the plan we agreed at drop-off.

What should I bring?

Your dog’s food, anything they sleep with, and written medication instructions if they take any, so we can talk them through at the meet-and-greet.

How do drop-off and pickup work?

Times are agreed at booking.

Small or medium?

We board small and medium dogs. If you are not sure where yours falls, ask; fit matters more than the scale.

Good company, one next step.
